1 |
Morning
city tour of Bucharest including
visit to the Palace of Parliament
(ex Ceausescu ‘s palace – the second biggest construction in the
world after the Pentagon).
Departure to Sinaia and stop to Peles
Castle – former summer residence of Kings of Romania, built
at the foot of Bucegi mountains. Continue to Bran
Castle, the controversial and contested Dracula’s Castle, built
in 1377 on a cliff dominating the whole area. In the evening arrival
in Brasov. Traditional Romanian dinner
and overnight.

2 |
Departure
for Brasov. Walking city tour including
visit to the Black Church, Old City Hall and Councilor’ Square.
Continue to Sibiu . On route stop in Fagaras to see the medieval
stronghold and castle (which houses Fagaras
County Museum). Arrival in Sibiu and
check-in at hotel. Short sightseeing tour including Council Tower,
Small Square, Evangelical Church, Orthodox Cathedral & Liar’s
Bridge. Dinner & overnight. |

3 |
Departure
to Sighisoara. On the way stop to
Biertan - peasant fortified church (15th
c.) belonging to Unesco’s world heritage. Arrival in Sighisoara
at noon. City tour including Medieval Street, Clock Tower, Venetian
House, Dracula’s Birthplace, Covered Staircase, Tailor’s Tower,
Hill Church. You will discover the atmosphere of this lively European
medieval town whose old edifices are still functional and well preserved.

4 |
In the early morning visit of the cathedral
in Targu Mures and then proceed to Cluj Napoca.
City tour including Banffy Palace, St.Michael’s Roman Catholic
Church, Mathiaas Corvinus Birthplace (the oldest house in Cluj),
Town Hall. Continue to Baia Mare. Dinner & overnight. |

5 |
Trip
to Sapanta , the village well-known for its “ Merry
Cemetery”. Very spectacular in its originality, the cemetery
has the crosses carved and painted with peasant faces, accompanied
by humorous texts (brief biographies of the dead). Continue the
route passing the mountains between Transylvania and Moldavia
with stop for visiting some wooden churches
included in UNESCO patrimony. In the evening arrival in Gura Humorului.

6 |
Full day trip for visiting the best of Bucovina’s
monasteries:
Humor, Voronet, Moldovita, Sucevita & Putna , among the very
few in the world having frescos painted on the outside walls and
which were added in 1973 to UNESCO’s list of protected monuments.
Lunch on route (included – box meal). Farewell dinner & overnight
in Gura Humorului. |

Departure
to Bucharest. Lunch on route. Arrival in the evening in Bucharest. |
